PATIENT
RESPONSIBILITY

The Grant Orthodontics Standard of health and safety
The health and safety of our patients has always been our top priority, and we’re even more focused on it now. To set the bar in our industry, we’ve made changes to how we operate - all designed to keep our patients and team healthy and safe. Here are the changes you can expect:

Our heightened deep-cleaning process.

Top-grade disinfectant & more frequent cleaning.
Team members will use a disinfectant proven to kill viruses like COVID-19 in all common areas before and after patients check-in and check-out - with a heightened attention to patient chairs, stools, computers, doorknobs and all
other high-touch surfaces throughout the day. We will continue to have the practice professionally cleaned every evening, as always.

Disinfecting high-touch surfaces.
Throughout the day, we’ll disinfect door handles, light switches, the front desk, keyboards, computers, phones, printers, bathrooms, sinks, toilets, benches and all patient equipment.

All Patient Chairs disinfected.
After every appointment, each patient chair is thoroughly disinfected.

Team uniforms laundered & disinfected.
Clinical Assistants will have scrubs laundered in-office daily and all team shoes are disinfected daily.

Team face masks & gloves.
Front desk team members will now wear gloves when handling patient materials and will be wearing face masks.

Practice Additions:

  • Top-grade air purifiers throughout the office, as used in hospitals, emergency rooms & operating rooms
  • Glass partitions between patient chairs
  • Advanced level filtration & UV lamps in the HVAC system
  • Additional completely enclosed private patient chairs

Before You Arrive

Team health check.
Every team member and doctor will have their temperature checked before they start the day. When necessary, we’ll follow our elevated temperature protocol.

Patient health check.
Every patient will have their temperature checked as they enter the practice.

High-touch amenities.
To limit hand-to-hand contact, and any cross-contamination, we’re closing our reception room, coffee/beverage station and toothbrushing sink. We are asking all patients to brush and floss before they arrive.

Checking In

At this time, we are still limiting the in-office capacity to patients only (no additional family members or friends). We also require face coverings for staff and patients. We appreciate your assistance!

Social distancing practices.
Our team is here to help our patients while maintaining social distancing practices for all health & safety protocols. The doctors and clinical team will stay in the clinic for your enhanced safety. Parents will receive an update through email of their childs' visit.

Scheduling follow-up visits.
All patients will be given a follow-up visit on their way out. If you are a parent and your child needs assistance, we will call you in your car to set that up.

Products for purchase.
Our professional strength whitening, beautiful & effective electric toothbrushes, water-piks, Shock Doctor mouthguard and other oral hygiene products will still be available. Our Smile Specialists at the front will assist you with any products.

Patient Responsibility: Keeping each other healthy & safe.

We’ve put a lot of time and thought into these changes - with details beyond what is listed here. Our new safety process will be most effective if we all make sure to do our part!

Aside from respecting the safety guidelines we've added to Grant Orthodontics, we ask that all patients coming to the practice walk in with the same approach our team takes to serve you: we go the extra smile.

Please make sure to practice social distancing while in the building, as indicated by markers on the floor.

If you have a cough, fever, or symptoms of COVID-19, please do not come to the office until you’re symptom-free and fever-free for 3 days.

If you have tested positive for COVID -19, or have knowingly come into close contact with someone who has, we ask that you do not come to the office for 14 days or until you’ve tested negative for COVID-19.

If you feel unwell or have any concerns about coming to your appointment, please stay home and stay safe. We'll happily re-schedule you when you're healthy and feel comfortable coming back.

Although we’d love to hug and high-five you to welcome you back, we’re limiting person-to-person contact.

It might be a bit overwhelming at first. But trust us: As soon as you come back you’ll remember just why you chose Grant Orthodontics for your new smile.

We can’t wait to see you!

update.
